Mr and Mrs and wedding cake

This card is for a couple getting married tomorrow. It also fits into todays challenge over at www.365cards.blogspot.com day151. Have a minimum of 3 layers on your card. I use card bases for my actual card and then add from there, I like that since they come with perfect size envelopes too. My black paper was cut to fit. My grey was cut on my cricut using tie the knot cart, invitation setting with Mr and Mrs. I added the bride and groom stamp. I used a punch for the white strip and layered black on top of that. Then I had ribbon and pearls left over from a wedding cake that I done last friday (see pics below). Layered these all up. I also added a little crystal charm and rhinestones along the sides. Below is the wedding cake that I did last friday for my in-laws 35th wedding anniversary. This is my first official "whole" wedding cake. The reason I say that is because for my youngest brother-in-law I did decorate the cake but thats all I did. My mother-in-law baked and iced it. These are heart shaped cakes with fantasy flowers made of fondunt and gumpaste. All the dove stuff (holding peanuts and mints) were from my wedding. Even my cake knife and server is there, the knife saying "Robert and Maranda" and My server saying "September 13, 2003" or maybe thats the other way around. Oh well. Oh crap! That means my 8th anniversary is coming up quickly!

Fishing Silhouette

For day 135 over at 365cards was a wednesday collage. Use the following Chipboard, Pattern Paper and Fringe.
My Father-in-laws birthday is exactly one week from today, so I went back on this weeks challenges to see what I could come up with. The fishing pole was cut out of cardstock and layered over chipboard (also cut with fishing pole sizzix). I added glitter pen to make the shiny parts of the pole come to life. I even went outside and raided one of my kids fishing poles for the fishing line. (I knew I'd be in trouble if I raided my husbands, lol)
The pattern paper has a crackle look to it. The fringe is tied to make it look like the lure at the end of the fishing line. Then I added the fish charm at the lure. I also added brown ribbon (I tied the lure and charm from it) and 2 mini brads to hold this all in place.
I have to say that I do tend to put alot of energy into my father-in-laws cards (which I've said on here before) because he really does enjoy my handmade cards. It also puts a "burden" (for a lack of better word) trying to figure out what I'm going to do for his next card. My mind can't always keep up or be in the most creative mood with all the creative juices running. But I do have to say that I love how this card came together and it is so masculine dispite the fringe!

Relax and Enjoy

Well this is going to a friend of mine. I used a dustin pike image, added the stamp relax and enjoy, used a green flower that I dazzeled up with both gold and frost sheer shimmer spritz, and added a glittery yellow brad and 3 crystals. Colored with bother copics and prismacolor.
This fits the following challenges.

dustin pike - hot and bother
PIO - time to relax

anniversary card

Over at 365card the challenge for day 123 SO SILLY. This is the card that I made for it. The digi stamp and saying are from http://thesherlockshome.blogspot.com/. When I seen this I knew I was going to use it for a card for my in-laws 35 wedding anniversary this month. When I seen this challenge I thought today would be a good day to go ahead and get it done so that I could put it into this challenge.
Edited to swap out blurry pictures for clearer pictures.
The front of the card says...
When you get married, all you need is two hearts and a diamond...
The inside of the card says...
but after a few years, all you want is a club and a spade. Happy Anniversary!
