Follow your heart

The saying on the card actually says "Follow your heart wherever it takes you, and be happy. Life is very fragile and only loaned to us for a while." It came from a pack of sentiments on vellum that I purchased at Hobby Lobby. The stamp I purchased at a local store. The paper is just scrap cardstock that I have laying around. You can't tell but I used my sakura stardust pen on the center of the flowers after coloring in the stamp. I used the CM frosted splits but on the blue it still is quite noticable. Then of course the ribbon on the top easily tied in a bow. I used my sakura souffle grey pen for the decorating around the rectangles.

You'll always be my friend

This is a card that I made for a friend a few days ago. I just love the stamp and it happens to fit us perfectly. I used watercolor pens to color it in and my sakura stardust pen for the girls earrings. The paper is CM and I also used fiber and a brad. I hope that she likes it. I found out today that her oldest daughter fell at the skating rink and broke her elbow. She is 6. I'll be praying for her.

Here is a pic of my kids in their rubber boots. They were getting ready to help me feed the animals. Trust me, the boots didn't stay clean for long LOL!

For better pics of them I decided to take these earlier today. Now you know who I'm talking about in my posts. This is Kaitlyn.

The red head (left) is Kaleb and on the right is Kyle. please remember out house is still under construction. The stairs are one of the still remaining projects.

chick in egg

Here is another file that my kids decided that they adored. Hopefully you will also. I did this the other day and decided to go ahead and share. Not too many people are getting these files. PLEASE tell your friends.

I had a wonderful weekend. I hope that you did also. Friday my husband went out of town and decided to treat myself to Applebee's. I ended up staying there for quite a long time even though I got my order to go. I ended up locking my keys in my Durango! Oh well, I got to talk to a lot of people that I'd never meet before. Saturday my husband worked OT at Duke energy, I had to run about a hour south of where I live. On the way I decided to take a detour and see the Jeep that my soon to be sister-in-law and brother-in-law rolled that morning. They were quite lucky. Both walked out with very minor injuries and the Jeep actually looked fairly well for being rolled. I say God was definately watching out for them without a doubt. I then decided to go and buy all 3 of my children new tennis shoes. Sunday was a lazy day. Every other weekend I go to church. When my husband is off work I stay with him since he will not go. We ended up watching a few movies and hanging out for quite a peaceful day.

Today my twins decided that they wanted rubber boots since it is so muddy here and I won't let them even out to feed the animals since I do not want to deal with a bunch of mud in my house. Today I gave in. When they go out to help with the animals I will have to take a picture of all 3 in their new green and red boots.

Bunny with Easter Egg

This is a file I created yesterday. I think the bunny is just so cute. My kids thought so also. I'm lucky that one of them has yet to stash it in their rooms. Sometimes I find my diecuts in there because they want it if they think it's cute. Kaitlyn will stash it in her scrapbooking tote under her bed. At least I know where to look if one comes up missing. I can also look at it this way -- at least I have fans of my work.

Here is the link to this file. Hope you enjoy it on your pages as much as my kids do.

Easter Mouse with eggs

I put this card together quickly last night. I just love the little mouse winking holding the easter eggs. I colored the mouse and eggs and added glitter with my sakura stardust pen. I stamped happy easter with black and decided to also stardust it. I thought later that I should have embossed it but oh well, maybe another time. I added citrus fiber to the bottom. The green paper is CM out of a storybox. Also used primas and brads.

Found one working drive

At least for now. I'm not sure how long it will last. I had to unplug my printer and put my store n go there. At least I'm able to do something though. I also have to use the other computer that is unable to hook onto the internet to even accomplish this feat. This is another christmas card I've accomplished. It is quite simple I didn't have a lot of time, but wanted to play with some paper anyways.

I decided to also show a few scrapbook pages I've thrown together. Sorry you have to turn your head different ways to actually view them. The first is of my daughter Kaitlyn in the fall, it's here first grade pic. The border set I actually received in a border swap on www.scrapshare.com The next ones are a DPS of Easter 06 (Yeah I'm majorly behind I end up doing pages and not putting them into their books yet so that I can hopefully actually get caught up one day). The last one is a close up of the stamp I used on the right page. How cute is it? I got that stamp from a secret bunny swap on scrapshare.

Computer Problems

I'm not sure exactly what's going on here but it is extremely frustrating. I've tried to post a few pics but my drives are failing one by one. This computer is only 2 years old (I know it's ancient in computer years). But I figured it should last at least that long. I've got virus checks on it but I don't think that they completely worked. Hopefully soon we'll be able to get a new computer. Just don't hold your breath! Trying to do contruction on a house, raising 3 kids and everything else (common household bills) it might not come exactly fast. I'll do the best I can. Please just hang in there with me.

Christmas Card

I know, I know, I know it's only Feb. But with 3 kids, husband, and a home to run I don't have time during the holiday season (with all the holiday stuff also) to make all my christmas cards. So with any free time I have I get started even if it's one card at a time.

I used BG fruitcake on the background, CM paper french vanilla and out of the olive paper pack. The stamps I got at Hobby Lobby. I used my sukura stardust pen for the glitter, and a snowflake brad.

I'm looking forward to the 3 day weekend with all 3 of the kids. Only one of them being in school. My DH works this weekend so he'll be off Monday unless a heating or cooling job arises. Hopefully a good weekend will be had by all. Hopefully I'll be able to come up with something to keep all the kids busy.

happy birthday titles

Here are just some simple titles. Use the links below. I forgot to get the link again. I have so much to do and so little time to do it. Kaitlyn has another 2 hour delay tomorrow. I'm suppose to look at carpet with my hubby. I'm not entirely sure that is going to happen. Our house is not done yet. We bought a shell of a house that was a bank repo and we are slowly getting it done. We have actually accomplished a lot but a lot still needs to be done. In the future I'll take pics and you can see what is being done. Off to bed I go, sorry this is getting up so late.

Update

Just letting you guys know whats going on. The file I was working on just didn't come out to my specifications. I did do 3 different birthday titles with mats that I will hopefully cut out and put on here later. I had such a busy but great weekend. Nothing to really tell about but a nice weekend. Yesterday I had to work with our business we had a furnace to put in and no help to do it. So that volunteered me. Thank God it was an easy job and quickly done. That is definately not my life calling. But somebody had to do it. Today my DD Kaitlyn had a 2 hour delay for school today because of the ice. That is putting a little cramp in my day time wise but hopefully all will go well today and I'll get the file up later today.

Taxes, Taxes and Taxes

I am working on another file, but I'm only 1/2 done with it. Hopefully sometime Monday or Tuesday it will be up. Since yesterday at 3pm I've done almost nothing except taxes. Who ever thought up doing taxes DID NOT own a business. I get this horrible headache every year just looking forward to dreading it. I decided to get it over with this year. Now it is done and over with. It did take F.O.R.E.V.E.R. though. I'm estatic that it is over now though. On with bigger and better things. Just thought I would check in and give you an update regarding the next file. Have a great weekend I'm going to be scrapbooking tonight and I'll see what the rest of the weekend brings.

True Love

http://www.4shared.com/dir/5576488/48a8bdbd/sharing.html

I did this file last night while it was pouring rain and the wind was howling. We had wind gusts up to 85 MPH. Can you believe that. Hurricane strength wind in Indiana. We made it through it though with 3 scared kids. I'm not sure why they are that scared but they are so I guess I will just have to deal with it. Thank God no tornadoes hit here. I pray that all the places that did get hit with tornadoes with get through this difficult time with the grace and protection of God.

Kaleb had his eye appointment today and this time his farsightedness actually got a little better. One visit that it hasn't gotten worse. Whoo Hoo! I am a thrilled parent!

Hopefully all with go well tonight. I don't think there is suppose to be any major storms. Just snow flakes. It's weird how it can easily go from one extreme to another. That's the thrill of living here.

Birthday Wishes

Today is my soon to be sister-in-law's birthday. Happy Birthday Megan! This is a card that I made her. She loves chocolate and pink together, even before it became popular. The papers used are Creative Memories and the ribbon I got at a local scrapbook store (LSS). The stamps I got at HL. I inked to flower pink it was orginally white and stuck it on with a white brad. I inked the sides of the pink and inner white rectangles and the stamps with Liquid Cats Eye chestnut roan. Sorry the pic is blurry it's the best I could get at that time.

Tomorrow one of my sons has an eye appointment. I hope all goes well. It seems like everytime we go his eyes get worse and worse. The poor thing is 5 and has worn glasses since he was 1. After breaking more pairs than we can count he is starting to do much better. He has finally learned not to take his glasses off by himself. ;-) That is a great accomplishment in itself! I'm not sure if he has to have his eyes dialated or not. I can't remember. But I know he absolutely hates that. Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day.

Be Mine

I got some free time today and put together this file. http://www.4shared.com/dir/5576488/48a8bdbd/sharing.html

Above is the link to download it. My CR kept sliding due to lack of traction. I fixed it for the word mine.

My hubby is at work, working OT. Of course all he does is work. We also own our own Heating and Cooling business. When he is not working for Duke energy he is working for us. Not a lot of US time around here.

The kids are sleeping, so I'm going to get off of here and relax myself. Hopefully soon I'll get the hang of this blog. I've spent more time on here tonight than it looks trying to get the picture and link so show up.

Welcome and Hi there!

I've thought about doing this for some time. I've decided to go ahead and bite the bullet. There are several blogs that I read regularly. Eventually I will share them. I'm hoping that this adventure will go along with my intentions smoothly. I'm hoping this will be my place to share some of my dablings to help inspire and also to give some of my progress away in time. I do have a Craft Robo and would love to design and give some files away when I get this up and running as planned. I also create cards using my CR and also stamping. Hopefully I'll be able to organize and plan somehow in the future. Hopefully you will stick with me during this learning process.
