3 cards

mojo monday and 365 cards

mojo monday

I made three cards yesterday.  I looked at http://mojomonday.blogspot.com and found a sketch there that I used twice (the fall colors and the halloween).  I looked at www.365cards.blogspot.com for the color challenge that was on Friday.

54321 Happy Birthday

Over http://365cards.blogspot.com for day 162 the challenge is Imagine this: Bright.  What does the word make you think of?  Well it makes me think of bright colors.  You see them all here, yellow, blue, red, orange, a touch of green.  I decided to do a countdown of sorts.  My brother-in-law's birthday is fast approaching, he will be 32 (that's why the 3 and 2 are different).  I cut the numbers on my cricut, along with the shadows.  The streamer is a stamp that I paper pieced and cut off the streamers and made my own, (I got lazy and didn't want to cut around them, lol).

Thanks for looking, have a great day.

You're Too Sweet

This is for my husband's grandmother.  Her birthday is later this month.  I used a sketch from http://mojomonday.blogspot.com
I also used a challenge from http://365cards.blogspot.com from day 160 Darling Doily.  I stamped the cupcakes with stand directly on a wilton doily.  I had to trim the doily however to make things come together a little easier.

Thanks for looking, have a great day.

Mr & Mrs

Here is my submission for http://365cards.blogspot.com for day 154 Simple elegance.  I found this heart idea on pinterest and had to make a card using the idea.  If you enlarge the card you can see the details of the pattern paper.  I added liquid pearls to the "wedding dress" heart which is pearlized paper, I also added the liquid pearl to all corners of the sentiment.  The white ribbon also has silver edged intermingled hearts lined all over it.  Inside it reads....
For the Bride and Groom,
Wishing you love in your hearts,
And joy in your home.

Thanks for looking.

Celebrate -- Baby Shower card

Another last minute card.  Imagine that!  That's all I have time for it seems.  Tonight I am going to a baby shower for a friend of the family.  I got on the blog http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/ and looked at the last sketch which is sketch Mojo 251.  It is the following...
Over at http://www.365cards.blogspot.com/ for yesterday (Saturday, day 150) there is a challenge "I've been framed"  it is to create a frame for the card and embellish 2 corners of that frame.

I used my cricut with the serenade cartridge for the frame.  Used 2 different double sided cardstock papers from doodlebug design inc. called cheery o's and alphababies.  I love it when I can use both sides of the papers for coordinating paper, means I don't have to continue to rumage through my stash to find things that match!  The jammies are a stamp that I stamped in the cardstock and fussy cut out.  I also used embroidery floss to attach the buttons (from my stash) and to border around the celebrate stamp.

Mojo 249 -- Happy Anniversary

I am on a roll today, 2 cards in one day!  Mom & Dad's Anniversary is the day after Dad's birthday, so another card was needed.

I used this sketch from http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/  ...

All materials are from crate paper, portrait collection.  There was a 12x12 sheet of calendar in there.  I cut out the July one and looked up the calendar for that month in 1976 when Mom and Dad got married.  Filled it in, and stamped a small heart on the wedding day.  I did line the outside edge of the calendar with silver marker to make a border.  I also stamped the sentiment, and added the "memorable" tag ( also included in the collection ) tada!

Happy birthday -- Elk

Wow, I normally don't have time to make cards anymore.  You can tell by how much I post on here!

Well, dad's birthday is coming up fast and I thought I would go ahead and make his card when I seen the challenge last sunday over at http://365cards.blogspot.com/ day 130.  The challenge was this sketch...
