Sugar and Spice

Where has the time gone. With Kaitlyn being in 4H, summer vacation, my husbands birthday tomorrow and mine being the next day, we have put a lot of time into our house and everything else I barely have time to breathe.

Scroll on down to the bottom for the link to this.

Dad Mesh and Happy Fathers Day

I'm sorry about a pic. I made this file for my Father in Law's card and for some reason the pic disappered in cyber space. The file cut beautifully with the correct pressure and a sharp blade. This contains a dad mesh and the words Happy Fathers Day cutting out as one and a mat for the Happy Fathers Day. Hopefully I'll be able to add a picture later. Also sorry it's been so long to post. Summer with 3 kids and a business is hectic. Especially when it gets hot quick. Everyone wants a working air conditioner! As usual scroll to the bottom for the 4 shared link.

Where has the time gone?

Well I've realized that some time has passed since my last entry. Sorry about that. Hopefully things will start looking up for me to have a little free time to work on files and cards and such. Since my last post I've been to the doctor 3 times, twice because of a dog bite on my right hand, once about my knee giving me troubles. I've also made an emergency trip to Arkansas that ended up not going so well. Because of the dog bite I couldn't do much with my right hand since it swelled up and had 4 stiches in it. My knee, I found out my knee cap isn't in th right place. Hopefully all will get better there. My mom is not doing so great in Arkansas but she has a mind of her own and is telling herself all is fine. Hopefully this week I'll be able to get a file or two done.

Flip Flops

As I'm sure you'll remember from reading previous posts, my daughter is on Spring Break this week. Yesterday I took her shopping while the boys went with daddy to do their thing. We bought the stuff needed for her 4H project and also the things to do these flip flops. She woke up this morning wanting to do this. She wouldn't even eat breakfast first. I apologize for the nasty "winter feet." I'll have to work on those before the flip flop season actually hits. Unfortunately you'll never understand how much I HATE feet and what a challange this always is for me. I don't know my problem with feet except that they are always in shoes and just nasty in my opinion. I think she did a great job though. Especially for being 7 years old. If only I could get her that interested in school!

Have a great day, Maranda

Thinking of you

Here is a card I made several weeks ago and found the pic of recently and realized I did not post it. I got several new stamps about a month ago and this card is the only time I actually got to play with them. I know that is SAD! Hopefully things will start to get easier here at home. Yeah right. But at least I can hope. Please don't take that away from me to.

I am working on more files. This is my daughters Spring Break, I'm not entirely sure what the week is going to bring. We were hoping for a family vacation but my husband couldn't get the week off work. Maybe I can figure out something for the rest of us to do. With a bunch of animals now we may just have to stay home. We will see.

Butterfly

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up on things sooner than later and be able to work more on my hobbies. I did have this simple butterfly done and just test cut it this morning real fast. Scroll down to the bottom for the link to my 4shared account. I'm looking forward to the nice warm spring air and I think butterflies just go with that in my head.

We've continued to add to our farm. We now have 12 new baby chicks. 2 of them even have the "leggings," aren't they just cute? See pics below. One is a close up of the leggings. Also we now have 5 rabbits. My kids just love them. Kaitlyn named her Holland male , Brownie. I don't know why, since he is grey. Kyle named his Polish female, Dot. She is black with a white spot on her nose. Kaleb named his Polish female, Candy. She is also all black. The other two I guess are mine since my husband wants nothing to do with them. The Polish male is brown and named Cocoa. The Holland female is named Oreo since she is black and white. We are going to start breeding them since my daughter is in mini 4H and is planning on continueing into regular 4H. Also the boys are linking her 4H meetings and they have talked about it when they are able to join. I guess we ought to be prepared! I thought I took pictures of the rabbits but I guess I only thought about it and have yet to do it ;)

3 easter eggs

Here is a simple file of 3 easter eggs. I think it will add a little to any easter related page. The link to my 4 shared account is at the bottom of the page. Just scroll on down.

Sorry I haven't been able to post for a while. My hectic life. I've been doing a lot of running for our business. We picked up a new contruction job so we've been quite busy. Also my knee has swollen up and has given me problems for the last week. I had to go get an xray yesterday and if that shows nothing I have to get a MRI. Hopefully it will either stop giving my fits or the dr. will figure it out.

This is the fun we had the last couple of days. They were some nice days. We got a lot of work done in the yard around our house. The boys even got a little bit of a sunburn on their faces and the back of their necks. I have never been happier about rain than I was last night at about 5:30. The work was ending!

These are our new pigs. Actually only 2 of them are, the other 2 are a friend's.

I decided to go ahead and take pictures of the other animals while I was at it.

In case you can't tell these are our ducks. This was the best pic I could get of them.

Hopefully I'll get something up soon. I have files but I still have to test cut them. Have a great day.

Politics

Now I have to say that I really do not want to talk politics. But I thought maybe somebody could use these files. They are listed seperatly. Please scroll down to the bottom of the page for the link.

On to a new week, I found some great stamps at Joann's yesterday. I just can't wait to use them. This week is going to be a busy one. Hopefully I will have time to get creative. In the morning Rob is going to the Father's breakfast at school with our daughter. I also have many events going on this week. Hopefully I will find some creative time.

St. Paddys Day

This is a file that I made the other day for St. Patrick's Day. I hope someone will be able to use it. The file link is located at the bottom of the page. Just scroll on down.

It's amazing just how the weather changes. I've definately have Spring Fever. I just can't wait for spring. I also can't wait to kick my kids out for longer than a nice day. I'm not sure that several days in a row would actually get all their bottled up energy out.

3 crosses

I had the chance to work on several files over the last few days. This is one of them. I will have it in my 4shared account in a matter of minutes after this posts. The link is now at the bottom of the page so that I will not have to continue to put the link in every post. Just scroll to the bottom and you'll see it. Any questions feel free to email me, my email address is in my header at the top of the page.

We had a beautiful weekend. Yesterday the temperature was around 70 degrees. Warm enough to kick the kids outdoors for some fun after church. Of course today the high was this morning and dropping to the mid 40's and rain. Not such a great day as yesterday. But it could be a lot worse so I guess I'll take it. We definately do NOT need any more rain though. Our yard is quite a muddy mess as it is now.

You'll always be my friend

This is a card that I made for a friend a few days ago. I just love the stamp and it happens to fit us perfectly. I used watercolor pens to color it in and my sakura stardust pen for the girls earrings. The paper is CM and I also used fiber and a brad. I hope that she likes it. I found out today that her oldest daughter fell at the skating rink and broke her elbow. She is 6. I'll be praying for her.

Here is a pic of my kids in their rubber boots. They were getting ready to help me feed the animals. Trust me, the boots didn't stay clean for long LOL!

For better pics of them I decided to take these earlier today. Now you know who I'm talking about in my posts. This is Kaitlyn.

The red head (left) is Kaleb and on the right is Kyle. please remember out house is still under construction. The stairs are one of the still remaining projects.

Computer Problems

I'm not sure exactly what's going on here but it is extremely frustrating. I've tried to post a few pics but my drives are failing one by one. This computer is only 2 years old (I know it's ancient in computer years). But I figured it should last at least that long. I've got virus checks on it but I don't think that they completely worked. Hopefully soon we'll be able to get a new computer. Just don't hold your breath! Trying to do contruction on a house, raising 3 kids and everything else (common household bills) it might not come exactly fast. I'll do the best I can. Please just hang in there with me.

Christmas Card

I know, I know, I know it's only Feb. But with 3 kids, husband, and a home to run I don't have time during the holiday season (with all the holiday stuff also) to make all my christmas cards. So with any free time I have I get started even if it's one card at a time.

I used BG fruitcake on the background, CM paper french vanilla and out of the olive paper pack. The stamps I got at Hobby Lobby. I used my sukura stardust pen for the glitter, and a snowflake brad.

I'm looking forward to the 3 day weekend with all 3 of the kids. Only one of them being in school. My DH works this weekend so he'll be off Monday unless a heating or cooling job arises. Hopefully a good weekend will be had by all. Hopefully I'll be able to come up with something to keep all the kids busy.

Update

Just letting you guys know whats going on. The file I was working on just didn't come out to my specifications. I did do 3 different birthday titles with mats that I will hopefully cut out and put on here later. I had such a busy but great weekend. Nothing to really tell about but a nice weekend. Yesterday I had to work with our business we had a furnace to put in and no help to do it. So that volunteered me. Thank God it was an easy job and quickly done. That is definately not my life calling. But somebody had to do it. Today my DD Kaitlyn had a 2 hour delay for school today because of the ice. That is putting a little cramp in my day time wise but hopefully all will go well today and I'll get the file up later today.

Taxes, Taxes and Taxes

I am working on another file, but I'm only 1/2 done with it. Hopefully sometime Monday or Tuesday it will be up. Since yesterday at 3pm I've done almost nothing except taxes. Who ever thought up doing taxes DID NOT own a business. I get this horrible headache every year just looking forward to dreading it. I decided to get it over with this year. Now it is done and over with. It did take F.O.R.E.V.E.R. though. I'm estatic that it is over now though. On with bigger and better things. Just thought I would check in and give you an update regarding the next file. Have a great weekend I'm going to be scrapbooking tonight and I'll see what the rest of the weekend brings.
