Fathers Day- #1 Dad

This is the card I made this morning for my father-in-Iaw.  Nothing like doing everything last minute!

Challenges included in this card are...
Pile it on challenge
Amusing Challenge
613 Avenue Create
Catered Crop
Challenges 4 Everybody
I'm sure if I took the time to look, I could enter it in more.  But I'm tired and this will do for me.

I found the wood grain designer paper in my stash, I used off white solid paper, a brownish tan solid paper, and a hunter green solid paper (also in my stash).  On a wood veneer tag I stamped #1 Dad in brown ink.  I also stamped the "Father" stamp in brown ink.  I then added the wooden button, twine, ribbon, and washi tape to hold the twine in place.

Enjoy your week ahead.

HB2U

My twins have a birthday party to attend tomorrow.  Needless to say, a card was needed.  I took a look at 3 different challenge blogs... 365 cards, Pile it on challenge, and Mojo monday.  At 365 cards I chose micro-managed - Add three teeny tiny elements to your card. Rhinestones, pearls, or brads can only count as one of your items. I added the 3 stars. Pile it on challenge - Put a bird on it. Of course, my owl is a bird.  Mojo monday - sketch.

Thanks for looking.

Mother

This is for my Mother-in-law, obviously for Mother's Day considering the date.  I am submitting this for 3 challenges -- 365 cards, mojo monday, and pile it on challenge

The background of the top portion of the card, I used a script stamp (inked in Adirondack Lights Sandal) and then misted (Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Snow Angel) over the script.  All paper is My Mind's Eye  Lost and Found Two Blush 6x6 paper pad (besides the white card base).  Used my dies for the center part along with the frame that I stamped Mother on in same ink.  Also grabbed another stamp and added the underneath portion of the Mother.  Grabbed a glitter pen and added the faux stitching along all four sides and the center.

On the inside, I wrote...
God in His wisdom made Mothers
and gave them love to share.
He showed them how to comfort
and told them how to care.
He taught them to wipe a tear
and how to smile just right.
Then He gave them to us
to love with all our might.

Thanks for looking.

Celebrate

Summer Break has began!  Hopefully, I'll find some time to do some of the things that I love once again.  I can't wait until my life doesn't revolve around books, papers, tests, clinicals and finals.  I want to start work already!  I can put my time in 3 days a week and have time left over, not studying all day every day.

Anyways, here is a card I put together today.  It will be going to my sister-in-law for her birthday coming up.  One the inside it says, "Hope your birthday is berry special."  I am submitting this card at 365 cards, for the Sunday sketch.  I did shake up the sketch just a little.

mojo monday and 365 cards

mojo monday

I made three cards yesterday.  I looked at http://mojomonday.blogspot.com and found a sketch there that I used twice (the fall colors and the halloween).  I looked at www.365cards.blogspot.com for the color challenge that was on Friday.

54321 Happy Birthday

Over http://365cards.blogspot.com for day 162 the challenge is Imagine this: Bright.  What does the word make you think of?  Well it makes me think of bright colors.  You see them all here, yellow, blue, red, orange, a touch of green.  I decided to do a countdown of sorts.  My brother-in-law's birthday is fast approaching, he will be 32 (that's why the 3 and 2 are different).  I cut the numbers on my cricut, along with the shadows.  The streamer is a stamp that I paper pieced and cut off the streamers and made my own, (I got lazy and didn't want to cut around them, lol).

Thanks for looking, have a great day.

You're Too Sweet

This is for my husband's grandmother.  Her birthday is later this month.  I used a sketch from http://mojomonday.blogspot.com
I also used a challenge from http://365cards.blogspot.com from day 160 Darling Doily.  I stamped the cupcakes with stand directly on a wilton doily.  I had to trim the doily however to make things come together a little easier.

Thanks for looking, have a great day.
