Happy Fall

Another great "therapy" card. I had so much fun coloring it all in. There is only 3 different colors but I used 2 different shades for each color for the high lights and low lights. Then added white gel pen for shiny lightest area on the pumpkins (totally lost the words while typing this, I'm sure you all get the point). I used 3 different pattern papers, layered them up. Grabbed some grungeboard and smeared ink on it. Added a rub on "happy" and used alpha letters for "fall" added some brads to hold it on the paper. Then I added a rub on leaf stem for a final touch sticking out from under the grungeboard. Because of this fact I am able to add it to a challenge on 365cards Day 246 peekaboo. Thanks for looking.

Tinkerbell birthday

I am running behind of sorts. My nieces birthday party was last weekend. My family was unable to make it because of sport activities of our kids. So tomorrow I'm seeing them and needed a card for her present. See I'm loads behind. Her birthday party was tinkerbell themed so I grabbed a coloring book image off the internet, shrunk it and colored it in. I did have loads of fun on this part. I flocked her dress green and her shoes and flocked white on the pom pom on her shoes. I took a stardust pen and colored in her wings. I then glittered the pixie dust with perot colored glitter. I then added the "2" in a heart punch and framed it with another heart punch. Just so I could add it for a challenge.
This is getting enter at 365 cards for day 217 I've been framed. Frame something with something other than a circle/oval or a square/rectangle.

Your Sew Lovely

You cant tell in the picture of the flowers but I put gold spritz on the flower petals, then assembled the flowers.
This card is for my grandmother-in-law for her 81st birthday that will be this coming Thursday. Hopefully she will enjoy it.
I am submitting this card for www.365cards.blogspot.com day 172 vintage + green.

Mr and Mrs and wedding cake

This card is for a couple getting married tomorrow. It also fits into todays challenge over at www.365cards.blogspot.com day151. Have a minimum of 3 layers on your card. I use card bases for my actual card and then add from there, I like that since they come with perfect size envelopes too. My black paper was cut to fit. My grey was cut on my cricut using tie the knot cart, invitation setting with Mr and Mrs. I added the bride and groom stamp. I used a punch for the white strip and layered black on top of that. Then I had ribbon and pearls left over from a wedding cake that I done last friday (see pics below). Layered these all up. I also added a little crystal charm and rhinestones along the sides. Below is the wedding cake that I did last friday for my in-laws 35th wedding anniversary. This is my first official "whole" wedding cake. The reason I say that is because for my youngest brother-in-law I did decorate the cake but thats all I did. My mother-in-law baked and iced it. These are heart shaped cakes with fantasy flowers made of fondunt and gumpaste. All the dove stuff (holding peanuts and mints) were from my wedding. Even my cake knife and server is there, the knife saying "Robert and Maranda" and My server saying "September 13, 2003" or maybe thats the other way around. Oh well. Oh crap! That means my 8th anniversary is coming up quickly!

Fishing Silhouette

For day 135 over at 365cards was a wednesday collage. Use the following Chipboard, Pattern Paper and Fringe.
My Father-in-laws birthday is exactly one week from today, so I went back on this weeks challenges to see what I could come up with. The fishing pole was cut out of cardstock and layered over chipboard (also cut with fishing pole sizzix). I added glitter pen to make the shiny parts of the pole come to life. I even went outside and raided one of my kids fishing poles for the fishing line. (I knew I'd be in trouble if I raided my husbands, lol)
The pattern paper has a crackle look to it. The fringe is tied to make it look like the lure at the end of the fishing line. Then I added the fish charm at the lure. I also added brown ribbon (I tied the lure and charm from it) and 2 mini brads to hold this all in place.
I have to say that I do tend to put alot of energy into my father-in-laws cards (which I've said on here before) because he really does enjoy my handmade cards. It also puts a "burden" (for a lack of better word) trying to figure out what I'm going to do for his next card. My mind can't always keep up or be in the most creative mood with all the creative juices running. But I do have to say that I love how this card came together and it is so masculine dispite the fringe!
