With Sympathy and Thanks

The above card is using this Mojo Monday sketch from December 1st and is submitted for the current challenge.  Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card.

The above card was also using a past Mojo Monday sketch, being a past sketch it is not submitting on the Mojo Monday site.

Elephant birthday with balloons

Here is a card that I threw together using the following mojo monday sketch.

This card really didn't photograph well.  The purple paper is a glitter paper.  The white paper between the purple and the pink (with the image) is pearl paper.  The elephant is paper pieced and different pieces and some of the balloons are on pop dots to add dimension.  Two of the balloons in the cluster are also glittered with a glitter pen (the pink and the green).  The pink frame with the image is also on pop dots.  I envision a number going onto the lowest balloon,  however, I'm not sure who will be receiving this card as of yet.

Thanks for looking,

Congratulations-wedding

We have a wedding to attend on Saturday.  I visited mojo monday and found this sketch...

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEcdqOdsmQksI2tLx0pElVMvJm_vuAROFxLsty-R-8olmmgDzFUtXcce1ED5md9D1WceLzLf4br3_bd45as8NynBe7dImBfZjAOrskkNumtNzZmId5LSxwnFBiUjoEbvOk5SwzaizMzlsd/s1600/Mojo344.gif
This card is simple and in my opinion elegant, just like many weddings.  The stamps are all one set.  I used ribbon from my stash, a heart straight pin, embossing folder, black ink, white paper and silver pearled paper.  I also added two rhinestones- 1 on the flower of the congratulations frame, and 1 on the flower in the brides hair (which basically covered up the flower, but that's ok).

Have a great day!

Thank You

My hubby needed a thank you card for a male family member.  I used teresa collins 6x6 memorabilia paper pad, the green paper is from my scrap pile (I ran this through the sizzix square lattice embossing folder).  I trimmed the paper using a copper color marker.  The polka dots are part of a stamp.

I'm entering this card in 365 cards - day 360 anything goes.

Thanks for looking ~Maranda

Christmas Wishes

Here is a Christmas card that I made Grandma to insert some of the kids picture into.

The designer paper is from Basic Grey Fruitcake collection, the stamps are from The Stamps of Life, I also used fine glitter on each light bulb.  The bow is recycled ribbon from a gift box. I hand drew the wire between the bulbs.

Thank You

This is a card that I made for a teacher of my daughter's.  In my opinion, she went above and beyond doing something for my daughter and deserved a big Thank You.

This card is based on a sketch from 365 cards

I used a card base (white).   White paper -- for the backing of the other paper I used.  The paper pack I used for this card is by Cosmo Cricket - Mini Deck (6x6):  Cubierta Miniatura.  The strip down the middle reminded me of books on a book shelf, and this teacher is an English teacher (It fit perfect in my eyes).  I also used 4 small white brads in the corners.

Thanks for looking.

Birthday Girl

I created this card for a special birthday coming up.  I chose to use a challenge that was to use 2 different double sided papers and to use both sides of each paper.  I chose 2 papers from crate paper from the pretty party collection.  I used a sticker "Birthday Girl" from the same collection.  The flower is felt with a button from Jelly bean and the frame is wood veneer that I used a little old paper distressed ink on.  The girl and flowers (in the frame) is the same paper as the dots. The green flower/doily looking paper is the same paper as the green-yellowish paper with the lines.

Happy Birthday

All paper is Basic Grey Clippings.  I used the banner that is for the same set.  Happy Birthday is a stamp from See-Ds.   The strip along the bottom (diagonal stripes) is a sticker from the pack of Basic Grey Clippings.  I used a total of 12 staples (Can you find them all?  LOL).  I also used a burlap circle from Little Yellow Bicycle - Burlap shapes.

Have a happy day

All papers are from the citrus stack (DCWV).  I used a chipboard frame (that I painted), flowers (from my stash), rhinestones (from my stash), and  ribbon (from my stash).  The butterfly is artisan chipboard from pink paislee that can be customized with color (they come white with print).  Have a happy day is a stamp that I double stamped, once using Adirondack Lights Lemonade and then again using Memento Cantaloupe.

Sorry you caught a bug

I used two pattern papers. The stamps are from Lawn Fawn.  I grabbed a tag and decorated it with ribbon, pattern paper, and stamps.  I stamped the tissue box and paper pieced it with pattern paper and white paper, the white paper is popped up.  Both bugs were stamped in black on the paper (to show the antennae and legs) and then stamped on the red and cut out and placed on pop dots to stand out.  With the ribbon and the pop dots there is dimension to this card front.

Hoping your birthday is... beyond measure

On the 12th of this month is my brother-in-law's birthday.  He is a carpenter by trade.  Because of this fact, I came up with this idea.  I made an easel card, that consists of tape measures, different fonts, a place for a gift card, wood veneer and several brads.   Of course, we all know the screw heads are a construction item, I added the little brads to the "birthday" to make it look like they were nailed on.  The "hoping" and "beyond" letter fonts reminded me of epoxy.   And of course, carpenters use wood.  Even the paper has a wood design.

Thanks

This card is for my Uncle Phillip and his wife Kathy.  They did so much for me during the time I was with my mother.

This card combines a sketch from 365cards and a challenge from Pile it on challenge.  For PIO I figured the torn note pad did the trick, along with the stick pin at the top of it (school supplies, right?)  The people are corrugated, and there is wood veneer as well.

Thanks for looking :)

Wishing you a blessed birthday

This is a card was made for a friend's who is turning the big 50!  I used a couple of challenges for the creation of this card.  Mojo Monday365 cards.  Thanks for looking.

Birthday cupcakes

This card is for a friend of mine that has a birthday this week.  I looked at the Mojo Monday sketch earlier in the week but didn't have time to start anything at that time.  Pile it on challenge was bling, which is not a problem to add to any feminine card.  And lastly when 365 cards had a "finish in 15" I had been thinking about it enough (with no time to actually do it) that all my ideas were all worked out, so 15 minutes was easy.
I used the designer cupcake paper.  I also used some shimmer pink and shimmer vanilla paper.  Some plain brown paper was added in there for good measure.  I used an embossing folder for the cupcakes on the pink shimmer.  I used a total of 3 stamps on the vanilla shimmer paper, the darling cupcake, the sentiment, and then the border (stamped 4 times around the edges).  I added a burlap flower with a gemstone.  Done!

Fathers Day- #1 Dad

This is the card I made this morning for my father-in-Iaw.  Nothing like doing everything last minute!

Challenges included in this card are...
Pile it on challenge
Amusing Challenge
613 Avenue Create
Catered Crop
Challenges 4 Everybody
I'm sure if I took the time to look, I could enter it in more.  But I'm tired and this will do for me.

I found the wood grain designer paper in my stash, I used off white solid paper, a brownish tan solid paper, and a hunter green solid paper (also in my stash).  On a wood veneer tag I stamped #1 Dad in brown ink.  I also stamped the "Father" stamp in brown ink.  I then added the wooden button, twine, ribbon, and washi tape to hold the twine in place.

Enjoy your week ahead.

HB2U

My twins have a birthday party to attend tomorrow.  Needless to say, a card was needed.  I took a look at 3 different challenge blogs... 365 cards, Pile it on challenge, and Mojo monday.  At 365 cards I chose micro-managed - Add three teeny tiny elements to your card. Rhinestones, pearls, or brads can only count as one of your items. I added the 3 stars. Pile it on challenge - Put a bird on it. Of course, my owl is a bird.  Mojo monday - sketch.

Thanks for looking.
